Mankato High School - Sandon Historical Plate

Sandon Historical Plates are limited edition plates created by Mankato artists, Donna Sandon and Susan Denzel. Each plate is created, signed and numbered by the artist and comes with an informational booklet about the subjects history. The Mankato High School plate was created in 1990 and is 7 1/2" diameter.
There are 25 plates in the Sandon Historical series and all subjects are historical places in Blue Earth County, many of which relate to Maud Hart Lovelace and her Betsy-Tacy stories. Some of these are: Lincoln Park Elm Tree, Minneopa Falls, Blue Earth County Courthouse, Union Depot, Saulpaugh Hotel, Bretts and the streetcar.
